This result made Indonesia swallow the second successive defeat from Thailand.In the first leg of SEA V League 2025, Indonesia lost 1-3 (25-22, 15-25, 25-17, 12-25) from Thailand.
In this match, coach Octavian continued to lower Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, Ersandrina Devega Salsabila, Mediol S Yoku, Shella Bernadetha, Tisya Amalia Putri, and Asih Titi Pangestuti as starter.
The three players who were not yet in the condition of 100 percent fit were Megawati Hangestri, Asih, and Arsela Nuari.
“We realize that there is still room for improvement, especially in consistency, defense, and communication in the field. This defeat is a valuable lesson, and we are sure with the right evaluation, the team will appear more solid in the next fight,” Luciana added.
This result made Indonesia record a total of four defeats in the 2025 SEA V League. Three defeats suffered in the first round.Megawati et al still have a chance to turn things around in the remaining two matches against host Vietnam and the Philippines.
