Still the status of Golkar cadres.
“So as of today Setya Novanto is still a cadre of the Golkar Party, becoming part of the Golkar Party’s extended family,” Doli said at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (8/19).
Doli said after being caught in the corruption case, Setnov had never resigned or left Golkar.In addition, Doli said that Golkar had never issued a letter of dismissal against the former chairman.
“Of course, with what has been through, then yesterday was determined to be parole, yes we were grateful. That is, there are our cadres who have finished undergoing legal proceedings,” he said.
Even so, Doli said that the active chance of the return of Setnov in the Golkar management depends on the person concerned.He also stated that at this time Setnov was also still declared parole.
“Of course there are activities that are not as free as if there are people who do not use conditional,” he said.
In principle, Doli said that Golkar never refused anyone to be active in the management.However, he alluded to that Setnov himself had reached the top leadership in Golkar as general chairman.
He also mentioned that the current era of Golkar management has changed.
“Now there are many young cadres and all kinds like that. Well, even if for example we, Mr. Novanto is willing to be active again, of course we place it in a place that is in accordance with his current position, in terms of experience, in terms of seniority, and all kinds,” he said.
