A number of residents raided the nursing home in
Bogor
, West Java for allegedly holding one of the female employees captive in the early hours of Friday (9/10) yesterday.
The family representative of the nursing home employees, Father Kristo, said that as many as five employees decided to stop working and chose to go home with the residents.

Father Kristo explained that the act of confinement allegedly started when the victim joked about hiding the place where his friend, a fellow employee, was eating.
“Apparently, the incident was reported to the leadership (orphanage administrators). From there, the leadership took action which they said was for guidance, but it turned out to be beyond humanitarian limits,” he said.
Kristo suspects that apart from being held captive, the victim also received other acts of violence. He said the victim allegedly experienced leg complaints as a result of being punished for squat jumping 300 times.
“There are allegations of torture because one of the children was seen limping, walking half-dead, because he was told to squat and jump 300 times and was kept in his own room. That is what is being processed now,” he explained.
The police admitted that they were still investigating allegations of confinement and violence and abuse that the employee said was experienced by nursing home administrators.
“Regarding the alleged abuse, we are still investigating this because after being detained, the victim was immediately taken to hospital, so we cannot ask for further information,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Bogor City Police, AKP Aji Riznaldi Nugroho, Saturday (11/10).
Aji said that currently, the victim has undergone a post-mortem at the hospital. He said investigators were still waiting for the results of the post-mortem.
“For the victim’s injuries, we are still waiting for the post-mortem results from the hospital. Once the results come out, we can convey them,” he explained.
