The conservation provisions refer to the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number P.106/MenLHK/Setjen/KUM.1/12/2018, concerning the Second Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number P.20/MenLHK/Secretariat General/KUM.1/6/2018 concerning Protected Plants and Animal Types.
“So for green peacock, including protected animals, while for white, blue and blorok peacocks are not among the protected,” Hasudungan said.
Furthermore, related to the maintenance and captivity of protected animals, he said the community needs to consult and apply for a permit.
“For the provisions of maintenance and captivity for protected animals, can conduct consultations and submissions to the local Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA),” Hasudungan said.
