A replica of Christopher Columbus’ ship sank off the Pacific coast of Mexico on Friday (10/10).
The replica of the galleon Santa Maria sank after damage to the hull system.
Officials said there were no tourists on board when it sank and the crew survived without injuries.
The ship replica was built in 1987 and has operated as a tourist attraction since 1992.
