The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that there was no famine that hit Gazans.
The statement made on Friday (22/8) through the X -Foreign Ministry X account responded to the Integrated Food Safety Phase Classification System (IPC) report which confirmed Gaza was hit by severe hunger.
Hunger in Gaza was triggered by Israel’s brutal aggression and was exacerbated by a blockade of humanitarian assistance.
IPC states that 514 thousand people experience hunger in Gaza, which is expected to continue to grow.
Although Israel has allowed assistance to enter, Gazans, including children, are still haunted by hunger and acute malnutrition.
