Video: British scientists use AI Help Owl Conservation

Jakarta, cartitleloans Indonesia

An AI -based technology helps the conservation of Barn owls in the southern Britain by counting the number of birds through their hissing sound analysis, without installing a ring or video camera in the nest.
Developed by PhD Bournemouth University student, Kavisha Jayathunge, AI analyzed the sound record of owls taken from outside the nest.
The process changes the sound frequency into a kind of “barcode” to distinguish individuals, even when the difference is not heard by humans.
This method reduces stress in birds and allows monitoring of natural nests that are difficult to access.
The hissing sound analysis also gave insight into their behavior to understand the success of breeding.
