) The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) reveals a list of unique names possessed by a number of Indonesian citizens.
The names are somewhat unusual, starting from the day of the celebration to the name of the football club.
Director General (Dirjen) of Dukcapil Teguh Setyabudi said this in the event one data for all: Summit of Population Data Semester I 2025 at the Auditorium of the Menara Bank Mega, South Jakarta, Thursday (8/28).
In his presentation, Teguh displays a series of names that are considered unique and different from the name in general.
Some of these names include:
Holiday
Eid Al-Fitr
Eid Al-Fitr Mubarak
Assalamu’alaikum Poetry beautiful
ESOK EYE EYES
Persib One Nine Three Three
Teguh explained that the names were officially recorded in population data even though it seemed unusual.This phenomenon shows the diversity and creativity of the community in giving names to their children.
Even so, the government together with the Directorate General of Dukcapil emphasized that since the issuance of the new regulation contained in Permendagri Number 73 of 2022 regarding the recording of names in population documents, the naming must pay attention to the applicable provisions so that it is easy to read, not significantly negative, and not multiple interpretations.
