Killed by being shot near the border of Allenby Crossing, on Thursday (18/9).
The shooting perpetrators are known to be Jordanians who work as truck drivers bring humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
“The driver accused of carrying out the attack was Abdul Mutalib Al-Qaisi, born in 1968. He is a civilian who began working as a driver who delivered assistance to Gaza since three months ago,” the statement of the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, was quoted by Reuters.
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, confirmed that the two Israelis who were killed were soldiers.
Israeli ambulance services said the two Israeli soldiers were killed by injuries, while the perpetrators of the attack were shot dead by security personnel.
Jordanian government spokesman, Mohammed Momani, said that his party was following up on this incident report.
Reported by Anadolu Agency, the Directorate of Public Security Jordan also said that his party had stopped the movement of passengers crossing the crossing after the terminal was closed from the Israeli side.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yordania said that his party had launched an investigation of the shooting incident.

He said, the authorities were coordinating to monitor the drivers who crossed the border to send assistance to Gaza to make sure they could return safely and immediately to Jordan.
After this incident, Israeli Joint Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir also suggested that the government stop the entry of humanitarian assistance through Jordan, until the completion of the investigation of this incident.
The Israeli military also suggested the application of filtering procedures in detail to the Jordanian driver.
According to the record of 22 Jordan’s aid trucks across the Raja Hussein bridge to Gaza on Thursday based on the procedure agreed with Israel.
This procedure has allowed 8,664 aid trucks through 201 convoys since the start of Israel’s aggression in Gaza in October 2023.
Jordan shared three border crossings with Israel: Sheikh Hussein Bridge (Jordanian River), Raja Hussein Bridge (Allenby), and Wadi Araba (Yitzhak Rabin) crossing.
