Labor Party President Said Iqbal said the action was planned to be followed by thousands of workers from the Greater Jakarta area.Even so, the action will still be followed and held simultaneously in other areas.
“This action will be attended by thousands of workers from Jabodetabek who came to the Indonesian Parliament, as well as the simultaneous actions of tens of thousands of workers in Indonesian regions,” he said yesterday.
The action is planned to begin around 10.0o WIB, in front of the main gate of the DPR/MPR Parliament Complex, Jakarta.According to Iqbal, the action brought six main demands.First, delete outsourching and reject cheap wages (hostum).He asked for a minimum wage in 2026 to increase by 8.5 to 10.5 percent.
Second, stop on layoffs and shape of the layoff task force.Third, labor tax reforms as well as raising PTKP (non -Taxable Income) Rp. 7.5 million per month, delete severance tax, delete THR tax, delete JHT tax, delete discrimination for marriage women’s tax.
Fourth, the Draft Law (Bill) of Employment without Omnibuslaw.Fifth, end up the Bill Tembanging Assets and Eradicating Corruption.Finally, the revision of the Election Bill for the Redesign of the 2029 Election System.
At the same time, as many as 4,531 joint personnel were planned to be deployed to secure workers’ actions today.
Thousands of personnel consisted of 2,174 Metro Jaya Regional Police personnel and 1,725 Lower Operation Control (BKO) personnel involving elements of the Army, Marines, Brimob Headquarters, Den C, Jakarta Kodim, Kogas Sabhara, Satpol PP, and Dishub and 632 personnel of the ranks of the police station.
“Metro Jaya Regional Police prepared as many as 4,531 joint personnel to secure the demonstration of the Labor Group,” said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his statement on Wednesday (27/8).
