The insensitivity was not only seen from the statements of several DPR members, but also the actions of the last few days.
In carrying out the duties and functions that should be the main instrument of the DPR, the insensitivity was seen since the revision of the TNI Law, SOEs to minerals and coal (Minerba) earlier this year.

Other insensitivity is also seen in the implementation of budget functions and supervision.
The pleasure of getting money from benefits without having to be subject to slaughter is called binding the DPR with the government, so that the votes and screams of the people were unable to be captured by the ears of their representatives in parliament.
Lucius said that disappointment with the DPR, which has been in the beginning of the period, has been ignoring the people since there is a proud statement while checking the people by mentioning the salaries of DPR members above Rp100 million per month.

Members of Constitutional and Administrative Law Society (CALS) Herdiansyah Hamzah ‘Castro’ strongly criticized the Parliament that was insensitive to the anger and difficult situation faced by the people.

“How could the DPR members suddenly ask for other benefits? It was a kind of irony, even no longer irony for me, but it has become a very embarrassing thing,” he said.
He said the Parliament did not seem to understand that the request for an increase in allowance was the same as taking or looting the tax paid by the people.
“Whereas if we look at the concept of representation or representative institution, which should be a slave and master who really is? The DPR should, the members of the DPR are cuvies. Taxpayers are the master. Well, how could it be that the fate of his master actually concerned,” he said.
“Unemployment everywhere, jobs are getting smaller. There is no access to prosperity. In the midst of this kind of situation, members of the DPR get an increase in benefits,” he continued.
He also considers the demand to dissolve the DPR to be very reasonable.Because, there is no empathy from the people’s representatives for the situation and condition of the Indonesian people today.
“So, if lately the issue of the dissolution of the DPR is actually something we can understand because of the disappointment or expression of the public verbatim that is so very disappointed with the DPR. How could the situation like now they actually ask for salary increases. In fact, this is not more than enough salaries and benefits that they have been getting,” said Castro.
