Cartenz Damai Ops Task Force
Dismantling the network of weapons and ammunition suppliers to the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Kampung Karubate, Muara District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, Monday (29/9).
In the operation, two KKB members on behalf of Erek Enumbi alias Air and Hugon Gire alias Yemiter Murip were also arrested.A number of ammunition were successfully confiscated from Hugon’s hands.

“From the hands of the perpetrators we confiscated evidence in the form of six 9 mm caliber ammunition items, two 7.62 mm caliber ammunition items, four 5.56 mm caliber ammunition items, one sling bag, one blue plastic bag, two banana leaves, and one Tecno Spark brand cell phone,” said Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Brigjen Faizal Ramadhani in his statement, Tuesday (30/9).
From the two confessions, the ammunition is planned to be handed over to the KKB Ternus Enumbi alias Tesko which also operates in the Puncak Jaya area.
“Meanwhile, the origin of the ammunition seized from the hands of the perpetrators is still in the process of investigation and investigation by the Cartenz Damai Ops Task Force,” said Faizal.
Separately, Deputy Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Senior Commissioner Adarma Sinaga said that his party would continue to crack down on the network of weapons and ammunition suppliers to the KKB in Papua.
“We urge the public if they find suspicious activities immediately report to the police. Stay calm, entrust the law enforcement process to us,” he said.
