tonight, Thursday 9 October 2025, will show The Dark Tower (2017) at 21.00 WIB.The following is a synopsis of The Dark Tower starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey.
Behind the sudden earthquakes that often hit Earth, there are attempts by evil creatures to shoot The Dark Tower.The shooting was done so that the tower would be destroyed and evil monsters could rule the world.

However, only Jake Chambers (Tom Taylor) can feel this through dreams.In Jake’s dream, many children gather when a loud siren sounds.
When gathered, the minds of the children were taken and used as energy to destroy The Dark Tower.If the Dark Tower is destroyed, then the entire universe will be destroyed and everything in it will be destroyed.
Unfortunately, no one believes in Jake’s dreams, not even his own mother, Laurie (Katheryn Winnick).Laurie believes that Jake needs psychiatric help to deal with this dream disorder.

During a therapy session, Jake is very surprised to see that the psychiatrist his mother introduced him to is the scary creature he saw in his dream.In the real world, the creature appears as a human.
He ran away until he got lost in a strange universe called Mid-World and met a sniper aka Gunslingers named Roland Deschain (Idris Elba).Roland turns out to be the last Gunslinger in the Mid-World universe.
When he met Jake, Roland was chasing a figure named Walter Padick (Matthew McConaughey), who apparently also appeared in Jake’s dreams.Roland wants revenge for the death of his father and the other Gunslingers at the hands of Walter.
Roland explains to Jake that for decades, Walter kidnapped children with psychic powers, attempting to use their “shine” to bring down the Dark Tower, a structure located in the middle of the Universe.
With the dream story that Jake brought, Roland took him to a village to be read by a psychic.However, Walter finds out that Jake has escaped, and realizes that Jake apparently has a very strong “Shine”.
Only with Jake alone can Walter complete his mission to destroy The Dark Tower.Walter then heads to the real world to kill Jake’s stepfather, and presses his mother about the vision her son had.
Through the help of a psychic in the village, Jake realizes that Walter has a portal in New York to speed up his access to The Dark Tower.At the same time, there is the figure of Taheen, a subordinate sent by Walter to attack the village.
Taheen and many of his men were killed by Roland, although the Gunslingers had to be seriously injured and taken to earth for treatment.
At the same time, Jake also tries to map Walter’s portal in New York to prevent his plan.Unfortunately, when he returned home, Jake’s mother’s body was charred because of Walter’s actions.
Directed and written by Nikolaj Arcel, he adapted the story of The Dark Tower based on the novel series of the same title by Stephen King which was published in eight novel editions, one novella and one children’s book from the 1980s to 2012.
