Eri Cahyadi will immediately issue new regulations regarding the erection of celebration tents on public roads.
He emphasized that every activity that closes roads must go through a multi-layered permit mechanism from regional officials to the police.
According to Eri, this policy was implemented to maintain traffic order while avoiding complaints from residents due to traffic jams or disruption to public activities due to celebration tents standing on the road without permission.

“We have conveyed the information regarding the celebration tent in Surabaya. So he must have a permit. And today it has been agreed that the permit cannot be directly permitted. So he must apply for a permit and have information from the RT, RW and village head,” said Eri at Surabaya City Hall, Saturday (25/10).
Eri stated that applications for permits could no longer go directly to the police without an introduction from the three elements of regional apparatus.Sector police can only issue official permits after approval from the RT, RW and local village head.
“And the Sector Police will never issue another permit before there is an introduction agreed upon by the RT, RW and village head,” he said.
Apart from permits, the Surabaya City Government also requires notification of at least seven days before road closures.Closure information must be conveyed through the media so that local residents and road users can adjust their activities.
“If he closes the road, then there must be seven days in advance to make an announcement through the media and everything so that people know that it will be closed,” explained Eri.
He also emphasized that road closures should not be carried out completely.Every celebration organizer is obliged to ensure that there is a route that can still be passed, as well as alternative road options. They also have to take into account the impact of traffic jams by involving Satpol PP and the Transportation Service.
“Even if it is closed, how many meters [only] will be allowed.
No
“everything is 3/4 closed,” he said.
“So if Satpol PP calculates, Dishub is like that [considering the risk of] traffic jams, because it has to be seven days in advance and there has to be a replacement road when this road is closed. That’s not easy, right,” he added.
Eri said that his party was also preparing strict sanctions for residents who set up tents without permission. The fine can reach IDR 50 million.
“If there is no permit, there will be sanctions. The sanctions can be up to IDR 50 million. And we will convey that later, socialize it. So we have to be firm like this. If not, people will be confused,” said Eri.
Eri confirmed that this provision applies to all roads in Surabaya, both city roads and village roads. However, the permit mechanism is adjusted to the road level and regional authority.
“Everything goes,” said Eri briefly when asked about the scope of the regulations.
He explained that for village areas or small alleys, permits can only be issued by environmental officials without involving the police.
“In villages there is no police permit, RT or RW permits per village, boss.

No
has police permission.YesBecause according to the law on roads, the National Police are invited on the roads.National roads, provincial roads, city roads.

village roads, RT, RW,” he explained.
This PDIP politician said that these regulations had begun to be socialized to the public through regional apparatus and related regional apparatus organizations. The city government continues to provide education so that residents understand the licensing procedures and do not set up tents at will.
“We have done this socialization. So, through the Social Welfare Bureau, we have gone to the field, we have continued to educate. The most important thing is that RT and RW have conveyed it and will also continue to convey it. Because we continue to convey it every day. So

(You can’t just make a tent yourself),” concluded Eri.
