emphasized that the APBN will continue to provide subsidies to Mandiri BPJS contributions which will be adjusted in 2026.
This was conveyed by Sri Mulyani at a meeting with a budget body in the DPR this week.According to him, the decision to increase the BPJS Health contribution tariff was also followed by adjusting the budget allocation for the PBI from the APBN.
He said that both independent and PBI contributions received an allocation from the state budget.
“When the decision to increase BPJS tariffs, PBI was raised, meaning from the state budget, but what was independently was not raised, then provided partial subsidies. From Mandiri it was still Rp. 35 thousand, it should be Rp42 thousand to Rp7,000, it was paid by the government, especially PBPU [Non -Work Recipients],” he said.
Even so, the Minister of Finance does not want to reveal the amount of BPJS contribution that will be carried out next year.He emphasized that more detailed discussions related to contribution adjustment schemes will still be carried out by several related institutions such as the Ministry of Health and BPJS Health.
“We will process the process of discussing with the Minister of Health and BPKS Health because it is an institution that mandates to discuss,” he said.
It is known, the government will gradually increase the BPJS Health contribution in 2026. The planned increase is contained in the book II of the 2026 RAPBN Financial Note.
In the book, the government provides space for an increase in BPJS contributions next year.
“Within the framework of funding, financing schemes need to be compiled comprehensively to balance obligations between 3 main pillars (JKN funding), contributions to contributions can be carried out in stages,” was quoted as saying from the book II of the Financial Note and the Draft State Budget of the 2026 Fiscal Year.
