The prohibition that will be applied by the Spanish government is especially for cargo aircraft carrying weapons into the country’s territory.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said his government would also increase humanitarian assistance to Gaza.The assistance will be given to the Palestinian Authority and the UN Assistance and Business Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).
Sanchez then emphasized that Spain would embargo the goods produced in Israeli illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
“We hope that these actions will further pressure the Prime Minister (Benjamin) Netanyahu and his government to ease some of the suffering experienced by the Palestinian population,” Sanchez said in a public speech broadcast by local Spanish television.
Sanhez will also impose sanctions for prohibiting his country to the people involved with what he calls “genocide” in Gaza.
