Korea Han rights related to the alleged bribery case of former First Lady Kim Keon Hee.
Yonhap reported that the special advisory team Min Joong Ki had submitted a warrant for the arrest of Han Rights on charges of bribing a member of parliament and former First Lady Kim so that his church business was assisted by the former President Yoon Suk Yeol.
Besides Han, the special advisory team also requested an arrest warrant for the former Chief of Staff who surnamed Jeong.Both were accused of violating the Political Fund and Anti-Corruption Laws.
The special advisory team suspected that Han was colluding with a former church official in 2022 to hand over 100 million won to parliamentary members from the Kweon Seong Dong People’s Power Party as payment for his assistance in gaining support for the Church if Yoon was elected as president at the end of the year.Yoon won the presidential election at the time.
Han was also suspected of giving luxury necklaces and channel bags to former First Lady Kim to ask for help from the government.
Han has denied this accusation.They stated that Han was not involved in the bribery.
Meanwhile, the special advisory team suspected that Jeong sent a sum of cash to Kweon.He is also believed to have given an order with Han to destroy evidence before the authority conducts a search.
The Seoul Central District Court is scheduled to hold this case hearing next week.The trial was to decide whether the court would issue a warrant for the arrest of the two.
