From the draw, the Indonesian National Volleyball Team was not in the same group as Thailand.For the men’s category, the Indonesian National Volleyball Team is in Group B with Cambodia, the Philippines and Myanmar.

Meanwhile hosts Thailand are in the ‘hell group’ in Group A with Vietnam, Singapore and Laos.
The Indonesian Women’s National Volleyball Team was also spared from becoming champion Thailand.The Women’s National Volleyball Team is in Group B with other strong teams, Vietnam, Myanmar and Malaysia.
Hosts Thailand are in Group A with the Philippines and Singapore.

The Indonesian National Volleyball Team is the defending SEA Games champion in the men’s category.Indonesia has won the men’s SEA Games gold medal three times since the 2019 edition.
Meanwhile, in the women’s category, the Indonesian Women’s National Volleyball Team has won bronze medals three times since 2019.
The SEA Games women’s volleyball gold medal has been a regular for Thailand since 1995. In the last three editions of the SEA Games, the women’s volleyball silver medal belonged to Vietnam.
