This green certificate or LPN REC is a recognition of electricity production from transparent, accountable, and internationally recognized EBT plants.
The price per unit of Rec or 1,000 Kilowatt Hour (KWH) is only Rp. 35 thousand.
“PLN is committed to increasing industrial competitiveness by providing 100 percent green electricity services supplied by our EBT plant through Rec. We are ready to serve the needs of green electricity for the business and industrial sectors with an easy and fast process,” PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo told

According to him, REC is one of PLN’s efforts to provide solutions for the industrial and business sectors to get reliable and affordable green electricity supply.
Since it was launched in 2020, PLN’s REC sales have continued to record significant growth up to 13.68 TWH in the first semester of 2025.
Darmawan detailed sales in 2021 reached 308,610 Megawatt Hour (MWH), then jumped to 1,762,953 MWH in 2022.
In 2023, PLN’s REC sales rose 100 percent 3,543,638 MWH, then by 5,382,245 MWH in 2024.
He said the customer’s interest in the industrial and business sector to the Green Rec Green Electric Services will continue to increase in the next periods.
“More and more companies, both from within and outside the country, entrusted their green electricity supply through PLN REC, so we are optimistic that this green electricity service will continue to grow,” he added.
At present, there are 10 PLN plants that have supplied green electricity for Rec customers.The ten plants are Kamojang Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP), Ulubelu PLTP, Lahendong PLTP, Ulumbu PLTP.
Then, Cirata’s Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA), Bakaru Hydroelectric Power Plant, Orya Genyem Hydroelectric Power Plant, Saguling Hydroelectric Power Plant, Mrica Hydroelectric Power Plant, and Lambur Minihidro Power Plant (PLTM).
