on Wednesday (8/27) morning.Garuda currency dropped 38 points or minus 0.23 percent.
The majority of Asian currencies are also opened sluggish.Malaysian ringgit fell 0.07 percent, Singapore dollars dropped 0.09 percent, Rupee India and South Korea Won fell 0.12 percent, Japanese yen minus 0.15 percent, Baht Thailand collapsed 0.19 percent.
While this morning’s strengthening was experienced by Yuan China which grew 0.03 percent, the Philippine Peso plus 0.07 percent, and the Hong Kong dollar rose 0.08 percent.
On the other hand, the main currency of developed countries opened varies.British pounds are minus 0.08 percent, European Euro weakened 0.08 percent, Swiss francs sluggish 0.14 percent, Australian dollars rose 0.04 percent, and Canadian dollars plus 0.05 percent.
Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong predicts that today’s rupiah will consolidate.The Garuda currency is also still overshadowed by the threat of weakening, though limited.
“Investors are still waiting and seeing important US economic data, namely GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and inflation this weekend. The chaos between President Donald Trump and The Fed makes investors tend to be careful,” Lukman told cartitleloansIndonesia.com.
He estimated that the rupiah would move in the range of Rp16,200 to Rp16,350 per US dollar today.
