That value shows an increase of 91.5 points or 0.56 percent compared to the closure of previous trading.On Friday (8/22), the rupiah closed at Rp16,350 per US dollar.
Meanwhile, the Bank Indonesia (BI) Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) reference rate places the rupiah position of Rp16,255 per US dollar.
Most of the currency of Asian countries weakened.Baht Thailand weakened 0,0007 points or 0.05 percent.
Yen Japan fell 0.35 points or 0.24 percent, while Singapore dollars fell 0.0257 points or 0.61 percent.
Meanwhile, Yuan China rose 0.0151 points or 0.21 percent.Malaysian ringgit rose 0.0247 points or 0.58 percent.
Some developed country currencies also show weakening.European Euro fell 0.0012 points or 0.1 percent.British pounds fell 0.0019 points or 0.14 percent.
The Australian dollar strengthened 0,0006 points or 0.09 percent.Swiss francs weakened 0,0007 points or 0.09 percent.
