BPS recorded an annual inflation of 2.65 percent (yoy), mainly driven by food, beverages and tobacco groups that experienced 5 percent inflation with a share of 1.43 percent.
“Commodities with the biggest share of inflation in this group are red chili commodities. Other commodities outside the food, beverage and tobacco groups that also contribute to dominant inflation are gold jewelry,” he said.
Meanwhile, the largest monthly inflation contribution group is food, beverage and tobacco with inflation of 0.38 percent.The share of inflation of this group is 0.11 percent.
The dominant commodity encourages inflation in this group is red chili and purebred chicken meat which contributes to inflation of 0.13 percent each
Then, the commodity which is also the main contributor to inflation in September 2025 is a monthly gold jewelry with 0.08 percent inflation.
“Then the Mechanical Kretek (SKM), the tuition fees for the Tingi College Academy, Green Chili, and Hand Credit (SKT),” he said.
He said 37 provinces experienced yoy inflation, where the highest in North Sumatra was 5.32 percent.
While deflation only occurs in North Maluku by 0.4 percent.
