Rain with moderate to heavy intensity which flushed parts of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (
DIY
) on Tuesday (8/19) made dozens of houses up to the surrounded roads
flood
.
Based on the DIY BPBD situation report, moderate to heavy intensity rain accompanied by strong winds flushed the DIY region from 11.00-16.00 WIB.
BPBD also reported that there were five points in 5 sub -districts (Kemantren) in the city of Yogyakarta that were affected by this extreme weather incident.Includes Umbulharjo, Ngagik, Gondokusuman, Kotagede, and Jetis.
The types of impacts include two fallen trees, one house unit damaged, one -point landslide talud, and 90 housing units were flooded.BPBD also reported that one person suffered medium injuries, without revealing the trigger.
Meanwhile in Sleman Regency, one tree was reported and a bamboo clump to close the access road and the electricity network of the Kemigrebo Dusun-Dusun Ngandong Girikerto Turi.
In addition, it was also reported that the incident of a collapsed billboard that had befallen electricity network and vehicles in Depok, Sleman.
“Some roads affected by flooding floods,” wrote the report without specifying its location.
In Bantul Regency, BPBD reported rain and strong winds had triggered a fallen tree to close access roads.The report is still in the process of assessment for this region.
BPBD officers, Kelurahan Government, TNI, Polri, related agencies, volunteer communities, together with community members have intervened handling.
