Belgium qualified for the 2026 World Cup after a landslide 7-0 win over Liechtenstein.Meanwhile, Scotland qualified for the 2026 World Cup in dramatic fashion.
In the first half, Belgium was ahead 3-0 through a goal from Hans Vanaken and a pair of goals from Jeremy Doku.After that, Belgium added four goals in the second half through Alexis Saelemaekers, Charles De Ketelaere, Brandon Mechele and Maxime De Cuyper.
This success also marks Belgium’s success in appearing in the World Cup for the fourth time in a row.The difference is, while the Belgian team in the previous three editions was often referred to as the ‘Golden Generation’, the Belgian team in this edition has also been marked by a generational change.

Austria also qualified for the World Cup after surviving a threat from Bosnia & Herzegovina.Bosnia had the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup when they scored first through Haris Tabakovic in the first half.However, Austria was able to equalize through substitute Michael Gregoritsch.
Switzerland also ensured they qualified for the World Cup after drawing against Kosovo.The draw made Switzerland champions of Group B with a three point difference over Kosovo.
