Zainudin Amali revealed that his party’s method of looking for the best coach for the Indonesian national team this time is similar to the selection pattern like the Luis Milla vs Shin Tae Yong (STY) era.

“Well, then the two of them were asked in turn to explain in front of the Exco. Finally, at that time, Mr. Iwan Bule, the Exco, decided that OK, we decided on STY,” added Zainudin.
Zainudin believes that the coach selection mechanism in this way is more transparent.
“Well, for this one, I think we will carry out a process like that. So that everything becomes transparent. And we know about our choice and all Excos are informed. So if there is one or two names, they will definitely be informed immediately,” said Zainudin.
“So, if it already exists, even if it is still in the form of a candidate, it hasn’t been decided yet, personally, I will convey it to my friends. So that my friends will also follow ‘oh, the one who will be chosen is A, B, C’. Then after that we will ask for an explanation,” said Zainudin.
“So, once again the mechanism used by PSSI when deciding is to choose between STY and Luis Milla. I think that is a good mechanism,” added Zainudin.
Meanwhile, regarding when the new coach for the Indonesian National Team will be announced, Zainudin Amali admitted that he wants it as soon as possible.
“We want it as soon as possible. However, we don’t know who it is. We want to know that when we find out, the Exco will be notified as quickly as possible. So we will implement the same mechanism as before when he has to be exposed in front of the Exco,” said Zainudin.
“So this is a joint decision, a collective decision. We entrust it to Mr. Sumardi. So, how many names do Mr. Sumardji have, please submit them and explain why you nominated A, why you nominated B. After that, we will ask for the nominated candidate to explain,” added Zainudin.
