Certainty Rusdi Masse replacing Ahmad Sahroni was determined by Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad through an official letter from the NasDem Party Faction.
“So the leader of the House of Representatives Commission III from the Nasdem Party Faction experienced a change from what was originally Ahmad Sahroni A-381, replaced by Rusdi Masse Mappasesu A-424,” Dasco said at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (4/9).
Rusdi Masse, who is familiarly called RMS, is not a new face in the Indonesian political scene.His political career began as a member of the Sidenreng Rappang Regency DPRD (Sidrap) for the 2004-2009 period.
In the midst of the regional legislative term, Rusdi Masse advanced in the regent election and was elected in 2008. At that time, Rusdi was listed as the youngest regent in Indonesia when he was 35 years old.
Rusdi assumed the position of regent for two periods in 2008 to 2018. He also changed bow from the Reform Star Party (PBR) to Golkar in 2010. Moked in Golkar, Rusdi Masse then jumped to NasDem.He was included in the legislative election contestation and penetrated Senayan in the 2019 elections.
