explain the trial of pelican crossing at
Cikini Station
, Central Jakarta.
According to Pramono, the opening of the fence was carried out after hearing complaints from the public who had difficulty accessing the Cikini Station.
He said the complaint increased after the elevation of the Cikini Station guardrail up to 1.7 meters.Pramono faces the existence of pelican crossing that will make it easier for residents to not need to spin too far to enter the station.
“Because the fence is raised so that people are difficult. So I together with the ranks of the City Hall have decided we made Zebra Cross there and we open,” he told reporters on Monday (9/15).
“So that is the case now that if you go to Cikini no longer need to go around too far, they can go directly to Cikini,” he added.
Pramono asked that with the new facilities to be put to good use by all KRL users.He also appealed to residents to follow the applicable traffic rules.
“We also urge the public to comply with the things we have prepared for it. We have completed the Zebra Cross, please see directly in the field,” he said.
Previously, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta together with PT KAI will open the Cikini KRL Station fence on the east side for the trial of Pelican Crossing on Monday (9/15).
Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Regional Secretariat Development and Environment, Iwan Kurniawan said this was done to facilitate the mobility of KRL users when crossing and entering the station area more securely.
“We at the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government are trying to provide solutions to public complaints related to fences at Cikini Station,” he said in a written statement, Sunday (9/14).
Iwan explained that the fence had been opened on Sunday (9/14/) morning and would start actively operating tomorrow.He said the trial of the application of Pelican Crossing and the opening of the fence would adjust the KRL operating hours starting at 05.00-24.00 WIB.
“We will also mobilize the Department of Transportation and Satpol PP, to ensure that community mobility can run smoothly and safely,” he said.
