Pramono Anung appreciated the image of the Fire Department (Damkar) or the Fire and Rescue Service (
Gulkarmat
) which often gets a good assessment in the community.
Pramono said it was a clear proof that Damkar’s performance, including Gulkarmat in Jakarta, had received extraordinary appreciation from the public.

He also thanked all Damkar volunteers who had participated in protecting Jakarta.
“Thank you to the firefighters, members of the Emergency Response Team, as well as other elements of the community who have contributed to overcoming the fire incident in Jakarta. Keep on the spirit of mutual cooperation to make the city resilient to the danger of fire,” Pramono said.
Recruitment of 1,000 Damkar
Pramono said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government would announce the results of the initial selection of Gulkarmat official member vacancies on Wednesday (9/17) this week.
“The initial selection will be announced the determination of the names of a thousand people in the recruitment of Damkar officers on Wednesday. Later it will be reported by the Head of Service and then I agree,” Pramono said.
Previously, Pramono had announced as many as 17 percent of applicants for recruitment of Damkar members to meet administrative requirements.
In the recruitment that was held 12 to 14 August, the total number of people registered was 24,405 people.
The total number of quota for Damkar members opened by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government was 1,000 people who would be placed in all regions of Jakarta.
