Officially made the Commander of the Navy Marine Corps, Commander of the Special Forces Command (
Kopassus
) TNI Army, and Commander of the TNI Air Force Corps (Kopasgat) TNI Air Force as a high -ranking three -star TNI officer.
The policy was determined in Presidential Regulation (Pepres) Number 84 of 2025 concerning Amendments to Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2019 concerning the Organizational Structure of the Indonesian National Army, which was signed by President Prabowo in Jakarta, on August 5, 2025.

In Jakarta, Friday (8/8), President Prabowo also changed the naming of the leadership of the Marine Corps, Kopassus, and Kopasgat which was originally called “Commander General” with the rank of two -star into “Commander” with a three -star rank.The provisions are contained in Article 59A paragraph (2), Article 59B paragraph (2), and Article 59C paragraph (3), as well as the Appendix Section of Presidential Regulation No.84/2025.
Prabowo, in the same Perpres, also reactivated the National Air Defense Command (Kohanudnas), which was previously merged in the National Air Operation Command in 2022.
Related to that, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto in the rotation and mutation policy, which was determined in the Decree of the TNI Commander Number KEP/667/V/2025 on May 27, 2025, had appointed TNI Marshal Marshal Andyawan Martono, who originally served as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force, became the Commander of Kohanudnas.
In Perpres No.84/2025, the rules regarding the National Air Defense Command can be found in Article 55A paragraph (1), paragraph (2), and paragraph (3).
Regarding the scope of his duties, the National Air Defense Command is tasked with carrying out integrated security defense for the national air space independently or in collaboration with other Main Operation Commands (Kotama Ops) in order to realize sovereignty and integrity and other interests of the Republic of Indonesia, and carry out operations on the elements of air defense in their ranks in order to support the main tasks of the TNI.
Meanwhile, the National Air Operation Command, as regulated in Article 58 paragraph (1), is tasked with carrying out the Air Material Defense Operation in accordance with the Commander and Law Enforcement Policy and maintaining security in the National Airspace in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.
From the sea dimension, the nomenclature nomenclature of the Navy Main Navy (Lantamal) led by the Lantamal Commander with the rank of even the rank of Star is currently changing to the Navy Regional Command (Kodaeral), led by the Commander of the Navy’s Navy Regional Command which was filled by the two -star Navy High Officers.Provisions regarding the Navy Regional Command are regulated including in Article 57 paragraph (3) and paragraph (4) of Perpres No.84 of 2025.
Then in the TNI Headquarters and the position of supporting the work of the TNI Commander, President Prabowo also enhanced the rank of several positions, including the Assistant of Strategic Policy and General Planning of the Commander in Chief and the Assistant of Operations Commander, who was originally filled by two -star high -star officers, became a three -star high -star officer.
Another change, President Prabowo also changed the nomenclature of the TNI Legal Development Agency into a Legal Development Agency and Human Rights of the TNI.
