in Indonesia.
This was stated in Presidential Regulation Number 85 of 2025 concerning the Ministry of Defense signed by Prabowo on August 5, 2025.
“Maintenance of defense and security equipment, defense facilities, as well as coordinating defense pharmaceutical activities,” said Article 6 paragraph F1 Perpres 85/2025.
Perpres 85/2025 was issued to revise Perpres 151/2024 concerning Kemnhan.There is an additional one more point, namely Article 6 paragraph F2
The point explains that the Ministry of Defense can carry out the function of implementing the formation, determination and development of the reserve component, as well as the structuring and fostering of the state defense and variety.
Later, pharmaceutical activities will be held by the Defense Maintenance and Maintenance Agency (Baharwat)
“The Defense Maintenance and Maintenance Agency has the task of carrying out maintenance of defense and security equipment, defense facilities, as well as coordinating defense pharmaceutical activities in accordance with statutory provisions,” said Article 35B Perpres 85/2025.
Baharwat itself is a new body formed through this Perpres 85/2025.Then there is also the National Reserve Agency (Bacadnas).
“For other bodies, it is only an adjustment to the nomenclature. Baloghan is a transformation from Barahan. Batekhan is a transformation from Balitbang. BA PSDM is a transformation from Badiklat.
Some time ago, Prabowo during a speech at the institutional launch event of 80 thousand Village/Kelurahan Merah Putih Cooperatives, Klaten, Central Java, Monday (7/21), had alluded to this matter.
He said the Ministry of Religion has now formed a defense pharmaceutical institution.
“Thank you the Ministry of Defense with their initiative for the form of defense pharmaceutical institutions to make generic drugs at low prices,” Prabowo said.
