budget
IDR 757.8 trillion for the sector
education
in 2026.
Citing Book II of the 2026 RAPBN Financial Note, the budget amount is 20 percent of the total state expenditure planned by Prabowo next year.
The plan, the budget will be used for several purposes.
The following details:
1. Free nutritious eating
Prabowo poured a budget of Rp335 trillion to carry out free nutritious eating programs next year.The budget has doubled compared to this year which is only Rp171 trillion.
It is planned that the budget will be used to provide free nutritious food for 82.9 million people.The target of the program: school children, preschool children, pregnant and breastfeeding women and toddlers.
2. People’s School
Prabowo poured a budget of Rp24.9 trillion to implement the people’s school program next year.The budget rose more than 20 times compared to this 2025 which was only Rp1.76 trillion.
3. Building a Garuda School
In addition to free nutritious eating and people’s schools, the education budget will also be used by Prabowo to build a Garuda school.It is planned that in 2026, the total budget used to build Garuda’s superior schools reaches Rp3 trillion.
The budget will be used to build Garuda’s superior schools in nine locations.When compared to this year, the budget rose Rp1 trillion.
Until now, Garuda’s superior schools have been built in four locations including: NTT, Bangka Belitung, and Papua.
4. School revitalization
Prabowo will also use the education budget to implement a school revitalization program.The total budget disbursed for school revitalization in 2026 reached Rp22.5 trillion.
This budget is up compared to 2025 which is only around Rp19 trillion with a target of revitalization of 10,440 schools and 2,120 madrasas.
5. Continuing the BOS, PIP and KIP Lecture program
In addition to the 4 programs, the education budget will also be disbursed by Prabowo to continue the School Operational Assistance Program (BOS), the Indonesia Smart Program (PIP) and the Indonesian Card Card (KIP).
In 2026, PIP will be given Prabowo to 21.1 million students, KIP lectures 1.2 million students, the Ministry of Trade’s boss of 11.6 million students.The budget is also used to increase competency 41,694 teachers.
The budget was also disbursed to the region of Rp253.35 trillion.The education budget will be disbursed in the form of General Allocation Funds for Education and Special Allocation Funds.
