80th anniversary of the TNI

“The ceremony is planned to be guided directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia as the ceremonial inspector,” TNI Headquarters Maj. Gen. Freddy Ardianzah told reporters after the rehearsal, Friday (3/10).

Freddy explained that the President would later be accompanied by the TNI Commander, Deputy Commander of the TNI, Chief of Staff of the Force and the Minister of Defense.
He said the ceremony would involve approximately 133 thousand TNI personnel.In addition there are 1,047 main defense system tools that will be displayed in the ceremony.
“This is much bigger than last year, on the 79th Anniversary, which we see so big and massive, it is only 100 thousand,” he said.
In addition to a series of military ceremonies, in the peak event of the TNI Anniversary, attractions will also be displayed, demonstrations of joint troops, modern troop defile parades and defense equipment, to music concert performances for the community.
“Many things are different, in addition to the power of personnel, defense equipment, materials, performance demonstrations are also different. Skills demonstrations, soldiers’ abilities, are also different. Because we want to present something different,” he said.
“Indeed there are a number of the same, but there are improving. The hope is yes, that was, we give a picture of readiness, both combat and non-fought,” he added.
