He did not convey detailed cases of what he meant.However, recently a member of Gerindra as well as former Wamenaker Immanuel Ebenezer alias Noel was caught in a case of alleged corruption.
He mentioned that in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Apkasi Autonomy Expo 2025, Tangerang (28/8).
“I also sometimes horrified by my words. In MPR August 15, remember my speech? I say even if there are Gerindra members who violate I will not protect. Eh a few days later, there are Gerindra members,” Prabowo said in his speech.
Prabowo said that the figure who was caught was still a member, not yet a cadre.He said the figure had not attended education to get the status of the Gerindra Party cadres.
“Ouch, he didn’t hurry to join the regeneration. But still I was a little ashamed of me, actually the person was interesting, maybe he was mistaken,” he said.
Prabowo also questioned what was in the minds of the corruptors when caught by law enforcers.
In fact, according to him he has repeatedly reminded all of his staff to work fully to the people and stay away from corrupt acts.
“Do not remember his wife and child if his hands were handcuffed wearing orange clothes, do not remember the child and wife?”he said.
Noel was caught in a case of alleged corruption by the KPK.He was a suspect for allegedly receiving money from the extortion of K3 certification.
KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said Noel was suspected of receiving Rp3 billion from the extortion.Noel allegedly received the money at the end of 2024, 2 months after he served as Deputy Minister.
This case made Noel a member of the first Red and White Cabinet who was caught in a case of alleged rasuah.The aftermath was caught in the rasuah case, Noel was removed from his position as the Vice Minister.
After being named as a suspect by the KPK, Noel claimed that he was not in the arrest operation as well as extortion.In addition, he also hopes to get amnesty from Prabowo.
