Prabowo mentioned many oil palm plantations standing on protected forests.According to him, there are companies that have been summoned by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), but are absent.
“What is clear we verify violates the rules is 3.7 million hectares and from 3.7 million hectares, 3.1 million has been controlled again,” Prabowo said in a state speech at the annual session of the Indonesian MPR at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday (15/8).
Prabowo warned the strong people involved in illegal oil palm land.He emphasized that he would not see the feathers to curb the illegal lands.
He also deployed TNI troops to take over illegal oil palm plantations.According to him, this step is needed because there is usually resistance.
“Because of frequent resistance. Dare to fight the government of the Republic of Indonesia, yes we face brothers and sisters,” said Prabowo.
Previously, Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid had also announced the takeover of illegal oil palm plantations that were established in the forest area.
He said there was an overlapping state land with illegal control in the field.Nusron has coordinated with the Attorney General’s Office to take over.
“The forest is used for palm oil and today has succeeded in taking over as many as 2,092,000 hectares,” Nusron said at a working meeting with the House of Representatives Commission II at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (9/7).
