Polda Metro Jaya suspects
student
made a shield by certain parties in the action of riots when
demonstration
in the Jakarta area last week.
Wadirreskrimum Metro Jaya Regional Police AKBP Putu Kholis Aryana said that was based on information from students who had been secured at the August 25 and 28 demonstrations.
“We want to explore how the children’s process can move or be able to move to go to the Indonesian Parliament. The logic is very easy on August 25 and August 28, not school holidays from there we began to explore what the cause of these children can move massively even from outside Jakarta to the MPR DPR,” Putu told reporters quoted on Friday (5/9).
From the results of deepening, said Putu, his party found there is a common pattern, namely an invitation in the form of content or narrative through social media.Putu said that was what made children or students moved to take part in the action.
According to Putu, his party also found that in the August 25 demonstration there was an un coordinated mass, the majority of which were children and students.
“This is directly proportional to the findings that we see in our efforts to gather information from online media, electronic and social media, so we do not necessarily see a massive incision, not after the time of chaos, but at the time of the action last week in Jakarta,” he said.
“We have mapped from the existence of the compatibility between the children we interviewed, the findings in the media, then the development of the situation that occurred we arranged in common patterns, there were massive efforts that occurred on social media with specific targets of children clearly,” he continued.
Putu said that his party then studied the structure of the pattern and found the purpose of making this child or student a ‘shield’.
“This network moves with the same goal to make children, making students a shield, as martyrs in various meanings, which after we see because they are not coordinated, because they do not understand the specific guidance, there were events that led to chaos,” he said.
