The Maros Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) arrested four suspects in the case
attack
At the Jami Nurul Islam Mosque, Miftahul Muin Ponpes, Tekolabbua Hamlet, Maros Baru District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi.
“From the results of the investigation, the perpetrators of four people namely MA (20), S (22), SU (24), and MI (20). There were eight victims,” said Kasat Reskrim Iptu Ridwan, Saturday (9/8).
The attack occurred on Wednesday (30/7) which was triggered by a personal problem between one of the students and friends of the perpetrators who developed into acts of violence together.
“The motive is, the perpetrators revenge to the students because one of the perpetrators has been persecuted by one of the students,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ridwan said, the perpetrators had been secured further examination.
“The perpetrators have been detained at the Maros Police Station for further legal proceedings. We will also increase patrols and security around the pesantren to prevent revenge and similar events,” he said.
As a result of his actions, the four perpetrators were charged under Article 170 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Child Protection.
“Perpetrators are threatened with criminal penalties for seven years in prison,” he said.
