still pursuing 10 suspected perpetrators of looting ATM machines at the office

“The remaining 10 people we are after. So the total arrested for the Makassar DPRD is 30 people,” said Makassar Police Chief, Kombes, Arya Perdana, Sunday (9/14).
Meanwhile, said Arya, his party has arrested four looting perpetrators namely, Hospital (19), An alias K (23), MN (19) and MH (26)
“Today there are additional perpetrators of the demolition of the Bank Sulselbar ATM machine at the Makassar DPRD office that has been arrested by 4 people, one of the perpetrators is a student,” he said.
Arya said that when the Makassar DPRD office was burned, then the perpetrators numbered 20 people with a tool such as grinding and crowbar and looting the ATM machine.
“So in the Makassar DPRD office there is an ATM, they broke into it and they dismantled it, then they took the money. The contents were Rp. 320 million who did more than 20 people,” he said.
After successfully looting, the perpetrators took the contents of the ATM and distributed.Then the ATM machine was thrown around Gowa Regency.
“They dismantled and divided. There was no ATM machine. So people came at that time were people who had the intention to commit criminal acts and intentions to loot, not demonstrators,” he explained.
The perpetrators were charged under Article 363 of the Khupidana regarding theft by weighting (curat) in conjunction with Article 170 with the threat of 7 years in prison.
