arrested 11 people suspected of being provocateurs related to the demonstration of the Pati Regent, Sudewo, which led to chaos in front

Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police (Central Java) Kombes Pol Artanto said that his party made an arrest based on evidence showing the suspects were provocateurs.
With regard to the 11 suspected provocateurs, he said, further data collection and examination process was still carried out.
“There are approximately 11 anarchist provocateurs who have been secured by the police,” Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police Commissioner Artanto told reporters on Wednesday (8/13).
“Surely we do, to catch the provocateur, we must first see what his actions are, what kind of behavior. So that when we do the capture there is evidence that shows that the relevant provocateur,” he said.
Artanto also could not confirm whether the 11 suspected provocateurs were Pati residents or not.He said, his party was still conducting further deepening.
“Now, we are doing data collection, there are quite a lot of 11, we have to check one by one first,” he said answering the media crew’s questions.
Artanto said that at first the demonstration went smoothly since Wednesday morning. But then they were chaotic before midday.The police also suspected that the demonstration was ridden.
“From the beginning of the demonstration, the demonstration was peaceful. Working in an orderly manner from morning to afternoon the implementation was conducive,” Artanto said.
“But at approximately half past 11 the situation changed because there was an intruder, the provocateurs who immediately made the throwing. And the situation changed, there were other groups, other intruders that damaged the atmosphere,” he continued.
He said the demonstration was gradually conducive at 15.00 WIB.The demonstration was increasingly conducive after several mass provocateurs were arrested.
A large demonstration broke out at the Pati Regent’s Office, Central Java on Wednesday (8/13) today.The mass of the action asked Pati Regent Sudewo to resign from his position.
Sudewo had met the mass of action.However, the masses then pelted Sudewo with bottles of mineral water and sandals.
Aftermath today, Pati Regency DPRD agreed to form a Special Committee for Sudewo’s impeachment.However, Sudewo refused to let go of his position under the pretext that he was chosen by the people constitutionally.
“I was chosen by the people constitutionally and democratically, so I could not stop with that demand, all of them had a mechanism,” Sudewo said at the Pati Regent’s Office.
Had circulated information, the demonstration also claimed lives.However, the Central Java Regional Police denied the news and made sure there were no deaths.
Based on temporary data collection, the demonstration caused 34 injured consisting of seven members of the National Police and 27 others from the pedemo group.
