A TNI soldier from the Yonif 410/Alugoro Task Force died in an attack by the West Papua National Liberation Army/Free Papua Organization (Organization)

Head of Information for Kodam XVIII/Kasuari Lieutenant Colonel Infantry J. Daniel P. Manalu in Manokwari, Sunday (12/10), confirmed the incident of the attack by the TPNPB/OPM group which occurred at around 13.30 WIT in Moyeba Village, North Moskona District.
In that incident, one TNI soldier in the name of Chief Soldier (Praka) Amin Nurohman died while carrying out anjangsana duties to local residents together with other Yonif 410/Alugro Task Force personnel.

“It is true that there was an attack and shooting by the TNPB/OPM Kodap IV Sorong Raya group led by Demi Moss. One weapon belonging to the deceased was also confiscated by the armed group,” said Kapendam.
According to Daniel, this action adds to the list of armed violence carried out by separatist groups against security forces and civilians in the West Papua region.

“This incident shows the forms of cruelty that armed groups often commit against the TNI and Polri and the general public,” he said.
He said Praka Amin Nurohman’s body was in the process of being evacuated from Bintuni Bay to his hometown in Kebumen, Central Java.
