.
“We will select two coaches first to discuss in more detail. Yes, just wait [names of those interviewed] because we want to find the best,” he explained.

From the candidates met by PSSI, rankings one to five will be determined. The top two names considered most suitable for Indonesia will be discussed in more depth.
“Several prospective coaches have been interviewed by Alexander Zwiers and Pak Muhammad and Endri Erawan. Later, after the three of them return to Indonesia, we will hold a PSSI Exco meeting,” said Sumardji.
“So later there will be a ranking from one to five, who is the best. After that we will discuss it together at the PSSI Exco meeting,” added Sumardji.
Based on rumors circulating on social media, the candidates for the Indonesian National Team coach are Jesus Casas and Giovanni van Bronckhorst, but there are also those who have linked the names Heimir Hallgrimsson or John Herdman.
After Sumardji stated that he would narrow down the candidates for the Indonesian National Team coach to just two names, netizens became abuzz.
“Giovanni van Bronckhorst and John Herdman?”asked a netizen on social media.
“Just Jesus Casas! Don’t come from the Netherlands!!”said another netizen.
“Will history repeat itself, recruiting coaches on Christmas. Hmm, it’s worth the wait,” said another netizen.
“It’s good that these two names [Jesus Casas and Giovanni van Bronckhorst] are indeed very suitable for the national team. Even though the fans want Casas to be like him,” said another netizen.
Other netizens asked PSSI whether the candidate for the Indonesian National Team coach could be chosen through a netizen poll.
“Is the Exco’s vote the same as the vote of the fans and supporters of the Indonesian National Team. Can’t a poll be done so that the Indonesian people choose the national team coach,” said one netizen.
“Hopefully Jesus Casas is a former Iraqi coach,” said another netizen.
“Whoever the coach is, if it’s good, I’ll support it. If it breaks down, just get ready, hahaha,” said another netizen.
“If in the future GVB becomes the coach, we hope that the assistant coach will be chosen who already knows the ins and outs of Asian football,” concluded another netizen.
