Home allowance
up to Rp50 million for members of the DPR 2024-2029.

Nafa said that the allowance existed because not all DPR members had a residence in Jakarta.
He said that members of the DPR came from electoral districts throughout Indonesia.
“So not everyone has a house in Jakarta,” Nafa said quoting pieces of video circulating on social media.
Nafa said that the allowance was intended for DPR members to rent a house around the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta.
He mentioned this to make it easier for DPR members to do activities in his office.
Nafa then cited her to settled in Bintaro, so far she had to fight the congestion to go to the DPR’s office.
“It’s a traffic jam, it’s amazing, it’s been half an hour on the trip, it is still jammed,” he said.
Nafa also explained that the house allowance was a substitution for members of the DPR for the 2024-2029 period who no longer received house office facilities.
“That is compensation for the office home, the office that is currently no longer there. So the house position has been returned to the government,” he said.
Later home allowances for members of the DPR were being discussed.
Members of the DPR 2024-2029 in addition to the leadership are said to get home allowances up to Rp50 million per month.
DPR RI Secretary General Indra Iskandar said that the value of the house allowance was not set in origin.This value is determined through formal administration with the Ministry of Finance.
He said that the allowance was given because members of the House of Representatives in this period did not get a house office facility in Kalibata, South Jakarta.
The policy was taken because the general condition of the physical house of the office, especially in Kalibata, was considered unfit and not economical to be maintained and enlivened by members.
