Ministry of Health will accelerate SLHS publishing for MBG kitchen

has asked the Health Office to speed up the process of issuing a Sanitation Sanitation Certificate (
SLHS
) Within two weeks, to ensure the cleanliness and manufacture of free nutritious food menus (
Mbg
) according to standard.
Head of the Public Information and Information Bureau Aji Muhawarman said, to get SLHS, the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) must submit an application to the Health Office by attaching administrative requirements, laboratory test evidence in accordance with quality standards, passing environmental health inspections, and Food Safety Training Certificates for Food Trustees.

“This process refers to Permenkes No. 17/2024 and NSPK Kemenkes Guidelines on Sanitation Hygiene,” Aji said in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/9).
He explained, before the policy was obligatory, only a small portion of food catering services or food processing places (TPP) that already had SLHS.Detailed figures of the SPPG certificate recipient are not yet available because the new SLHS policy is required for all SPPG in line with the implementation of the MBG program.
A number of indicators considered in the issuance of SLHS, he said, included location, buildings, water facilities, ventilation, and waste disposal;cleanliness of equipment and processing facilities;The quality of raw materials that are not expired and free of contamination.
In addition, health checks and clean behavior of food handlers;Control of the cooking process, storage, distribution;and compliance with MBG food nutrition and safety standards.
He reminded that SLHS can be revoked or suspended if the SPPG does not meet sanitation hygiene standards, there is an outbreak of food poisoning that is proven to originate from the kitchen/TPP concerned.
“Violating environmental health regulations, not making improvements after being given a reprimand,” he added.
It also tried to help SPPG meet these standards through training, SPPG assistance and officers in the field.
In addition, to succeed MBG, the Ministry of Health also runs a number of efforts, ranging from compiling guidelines for nutritional standards, monitoring, surveillance, and investigations in the event of a food poisoning outbreak.
The Ministry of Health also cooperates with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), and the Regional Government under supervision.
Aji also reminded MBG beneficiaries to maintain cleanliness when eating, by washing hands with soap and running water before and after eating, using clean cutlery and not sharing the cutlery without washing.
“Check food, make sure the color, smell, taste, and texture are normal before eating,” he said.
In addition, he said, it is important to recognize the symptoms of poisoning, and immediately report to the teacher or parents if symptoms are found.
“Spend the MBG dish because it is in accordance with nutritional standards to grow healthy and smart,” he said.
