In front of the Parliament Building, Thursday (8/28) today.
Asep also instructed his staff not to take aggressive actions and prioritize humanist attitudes.
“No one carries a firearm, there is no shooting. Do not be aggressive or emotional. Safety of the community and members is a priority, we prioritize humanist attitudes,” Asep said while leading the apple of security readiness.
Asep said, if founded forbidden goods such as Molotov bombs or sharp weapons, so that they were immediately secured according to procedures without acting alone.
Asep also stressed the use of tear gas during the demonstration should only be carried out on the orders of the Kapolda.
“Repressive actions are only taken by the Criminal Investigation Team against the masses who act anarchist. The use of tear gas should only be done on the direct orders of the Regional Police Chief,” he said.
“Control ourselves, be patient and measurable. Don’t be easily provoked, there are no violations of the rules. All moved one command,” he continued.
In this demonstration, as many as 4,531 joint personnel were deployed to carry out security around the Parliament Building, Jakarta.
This demonstration was held by the mass of workers who are members of the Trade Union and Labor Party (KSP-PB) coalitions such as the Confederation of Indonesian Workers Union (KSPI).
Workers bring a number of major demands in this demonstration, ranging from removing outsourcing workers (outsourcing), issuing the Labor Law from Omnibus Law, labor tax reforms, urged the ratification of the asset grabbing bill, to reject cheap wages.
