The poverty reduction rate was pocketed by Luhut from the count of members of Den Arief Anshory Yusuf, in line with the application of the digitalization of social assistance (social assistance) whose pillar project began in Banyuwangi, East Java.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) previously reported the number of poor people in March 2025 touched 23.85 million people.That figure is claimed to be down 0.20 million people compared to September 2024, even 1.37 million people lower than March 2024.
The number of Indonesia’s poor population is actually greater when referring to the new Poverty Line of the World Bank, namely for the upper middle -income country of US $ 8.30 per capita per day.That made Indonesia’s poor population translucent 68.25 percent of the total population of 2024, which is around 194.58 million poor people in the country.
Therefore, Luhut stressed the importance of digitalization in line with the formation of the Government Digital Transformation Acceleration Committee.He claimed to be appointed President Prabowo Subianto as Chair of the Committee, in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 83 of 2025.
“Later in September (2025), the third week, we have held a pilot project (digitalization of social assistance) in Banyuwangi. The President (Prabowo) will come alone and now we have prepared how many months Banyuwangi,” said Luhut.
“We will socialize so that all (the community) who later if distributed social assistance will not be on target, so that they report themselves and later the data will be taken again (updating the data recipient of the social assistance),” he continued.
Luhut said there were 286 million residents whose data had been recorded in the National Socio -Economic Integrated Data (DTSEN).Updating the data will continue to be carried out by BPS and related stakeholders.
In addition to the pilot project in Banyuwangi, Luhut said that the digitalization of Bansos will also be expanded throughout Indonesia.He said the Ministry of Home Affairs would be socialized related to this project to all districts/cities starting next week.
“After the successfull later Banyuwangi, we will launch throughout Indonesia. So, all we do gradually, multilevel, and continue. Everything is well coordinated and honest once again I am very happy because there is no seeing an disagreement/institution that is not agreeing,” said Prabowo’s men.
“We will enter the plan later in Bappenas. So that all the budget is integrated, the program is integrated, the legal integrated, all we make integrated. So, if this nation is integrated, there is nothing we can’t finish, all can!”added Luhut.
Luhut also reminded how the important impact of social assistance on the Indonesian economy, which contributed 0.3 percent-0.4 percent to economic growth.Therefore, he stressed the importance of the distribution of transparent social assistance and really right on target.
He admitted that he would immediately report the results of the meeting to President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday (8/27).
Meanwhile, the Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani was grateful because the government appointed its region as a pilot project digitizing socialization.
The woman who is the wife of the former Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas explained that the collaborative effort was taken for the social protection of the community.
“We feel that this system is part of what improvements have been made by regions in Indonesia. And this is a form in which the state is present to help, to solve problems at the district levels in Indonesia,” explained Ipuk.
