Hundreds of students from a number of campuses in Jakarta filled two points, namely in front of the main gate and the back gate or Pancasila Parliament Complex.
The masses continued to arrive before late afternoon, after the labor action disbanded before noon at around 14:00 WIB.Students in the action oppose the high allowances received by the DPR.
They also regretted because together with the arrival of students, the DPR actually closed the gate meeting.
“Today we came to the Indonesian Parliament Building with the aspirations of the community, but see the door closed by friends,” he said.
The masses from various elements have continued to hold a demonstration in front of the parliament building in the last few days.
Two days earlier, the demonstration by the mass of students ended in chaos.
The authorities arrested more than 50 mass masses.As a result of the chaos of a number of roads in the DPR paralyzed, and public transportation was closed.
To anticipate the same thing today, the police have conducted traffic engineering on a number of roads.
A total of 4,531 joint personnel are planned to be deployed to secure workers’ actions today.
Thousands of personnel consisted of 2,174 Metro Jaya Regional Police personnel and 1,725 Lower Operation Control (BKO) personnel involving elements of the Army, Marines, Brimob Headquarters, Den C, Jakarta Kodim, Kogas Sabhara, Satpol PP, and Dishub and 632 personnel of the ranks of the police station.
“Metro Jaya Regional Police prepared as many as 4,531 joint personnel to secure the demonstration of the Labor Group,” said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his statement on Wednesday (27/8).
