The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) pursues the ‘storage’ of money allegedly the result of corruption

The search for money is the reason the KPK has not yet announced the suspects who must be held accountable.
“We do not want to be rash in this matter, because we want to look to anyone this money then move and stop it in whom, because we are sure that there is really a staff. It means, gathering there,” said the Acting Acting and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu in his office, Jakarta, Thursday (9/18) night.
The statement was conveyed by Asep when confirmed regarding the results of the examination of the Witness of the Director General of Hajj and Umrah (PHU) of the Ministry of Religion Hilman Latief.
Asep believes that the collection of money related to the hajj quota does not gather at the leadership of an institution, in this case the Ministry of Religion.
“In an institution there are also special that manage their finances,” he said.
“It doesn’t have to be every person who collects it. We are from that person we are looking for, we are identifying, later when we already know that these money turns out to collect or gather to someone, or arguably the staff, it will make it easier for us investigators to do the tracing,” he continued.
This one -star police general added that the KPK had collaborated with the Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis Center (PPATK) to trace the flow of money in question.
“For example this, the money is in Mr. X. Then Mr. X is a representation of whom.
“For example, if it uses a credit card. There is an adarecord. Or take money at the place, for example, the ATM is Adarecord. We can check because in those places there is also a CCTV,” he continued.
Although ATM on behalf of Mr.X, continued Asep, it could be that the one who uses it is Mr.Y.
“We see that when taking money to use it turns out that in the video is Mr. Y. We can make sure that in fact the control of these accounts is Mr. Y. Mr. Y that we are tracing,”
“Who is the interpreter, later, of course, in time we will convey,” he added.
The KPK said that it would determine and announce a suspect in the alleged corruption case of the Hajj quota in the near future.Many witnesses have been examined both from the ranks of the Ministry of Religion and the Hajj travel agency.
Meanwhile, precisely on August 11, 2025, the KPK issued a decree on the prohibition on traveling abroad for former Religious Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, staff, especially Ishfah Abidal Aziz, and the owner of the Maktour Travel travel agent, Fuad Hasan Masyhur.
The KPK has also searched a number of places such as Yaqut’s residence in Condet, East Jakarta, the Office of Hajj and Umrah travel agents in Jakarta, ASN House of the Ministry of Religion in Depok, to the Directorate General of PHU Ministry of the Ministry of Religion.
Many evidence allegedly related to the case was confiscated.Among them are documents, electronic evidence (BBE), to four -wheeled vehicles and property.
