Indonesian badminton player, Jonatan Christie, opened a fundraiser for Sumatra flood victims.
This was known from the Instagram story upload of Jojo, Jonathan’s nickname.He shared information about fundraising with his followers which was carried out on the Kitabisa.com page.
“For friends who still want to donate, click the link below,” wrote Jojo in the upload.

As of Wednesday (3/12) early morning WIB, the funds collected to help Sumatran flood victims had reached IDR 96,731,244.Jonathan’s fundraising will last for the next four days.
This fundraising action is not the first carried out by Jonathan.The 28 year old badminton player often carries out fundraising activities for various charities such as the eruption of Mount Semeru and floods in East Nusa Tenggara.
The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) recorded that the death toll from floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra had increased to 712 people as of Tuesday (21/12) afternoon.
Based on BNPB data displayed on their official website, the number of missing victims is 507 people in the three affected provinces.
In detail, the number of victims who died in Aceh was 218 people and 227 people missing.Then in North Sumatra, 301 people died and 163 people were missing, then in West Sumatra there were 193 people dead and 117 people missing.
Meanwhile, the number of injured victims in this disaster reached 2,564 people in the three provinces.The number of residents affected by major floods in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra has reached 3.3 million.
