This was conveyed by Todotua in a joint Working Meeting with Committee IV DPD RI, Tuesday (4/11).
“The figures we have found are that up to 2024 there will be around IDR 1,500 trillion of unrealized investment,” said Todotua, quoted from DPD RI Youtube.

Todotua also revealed the culprit who made the IDR 1,500 trillion investment cancelled.He said licensing was the main factor in the realization that investments could fail.Not to mention that the proposed location for investment is protected rice fields (LSD) and forest areas.
“Not to mention the permits, location, application on LSD land, forest areas, etc.,” said Todotua.
He also said that Indonesian laws already support investment, but the challenge is how the government can provide fast services.
“So indeed our country is talking about requirements, laws, etc. This is appropriate. But the problem for us now is to talk about how we can provide fast service, this is a challenge in itself,” he added.
Even so, the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM has prepared a positive postpaid and fictitious system to overcome these challenges, as well as shorten the investment cycle.This means that if the technical ministry has not issued a permit according to the agreement, the permit will be automatically issued or run parallel.
“So we call it postpaid. Because sometimes the things that cause delays rather than licensing services are the technical requirements factors that I mentioned earlier, sir. Location permits, PKKPR, AMDAL permits, and then also PBG,” he said
“But now we want to modify it with a positive fictitious name and a postpaid one. 28 days, for example, if we issue a permit for a hotel, it can construct. However, if the AMDAL and so on have not been completed, it will run parallel. This is of course in order that we want to squeeze or we want to shorten the investment cycle,” he said.
