admitted that he had 18 names to take
U-23 Indonesian National Team
to the upcoming 2025 SEA Games after matching Mali 2-2 at Pakansari Stadium, Tuesday (18/11).
Two trial matches against Mali were used by the Indonesian U-23 National Team as a medium for selecting 23 names for the 2025 SEA Games.
Previously, Indra summoned 30 players to face Mali.From these names, up to 23 players will be filtered for the SEA Games.

However, after holding two trials with Mali, Indra Sjafri admitted that he had only received 18 names.
“In accordance with what we planned, this trial is as we said at the beginning. The aim is how to build this team in preparation for the SEA Games. So it’s not for today and yesterday,” said Indra Sjafri in a press conference after the match.
“And thank God, we can almost certainly validate around 18 players. There are only maybe five players left that we might see in the rest of the day,” added Indra Sjafri.
Next, Garuda Muda will try to maximize the time available to undergo final preparations before leaving for Thailand this week.
“We plan to leave on the 23rd (November),” said Indra.
In the match against Mali, Indonesia U-23 fell behind through Sekou Kone’s goal in the 11th minute.Mauro Zijlstra made the score 1-1 in the 38th minute.
Rafael Struick gave Indonesia a 2-1 lead in the 53rd minute.However, Kone scored again for Mali in the 70th minute which changed the final score to 2-2.
“The second was to comment on the players’ performance. After the first match we reflected, and we discussed it with the players and the coaching team. There are several things that need to be corrected. There were errors that occurred,” said Indra.
“And including today there were mistakes which in the end we also conceded. We thank you that this trial was very useful. And of course later on the 21st to 22nd, we will give the club the opportunity for them (players) to play.”
