Human Rights Watch, a global human rights and advocacy organization, questioned the event
FIFA Peace Prize

The FIFA Peace Prize award will be awarded during the draw for the 2026 World Cup finals on December 5 2025 in Washington DC.
Infantino announced that the FIFA Peace Prize will be awarded to a figure who plays an important role in world peace.United States President Donald Trump is believed to be the winner.

The Athletic
wrote that Infantino’s decision to create the FIFA Peace Prize did not go through an organizational mechanism.It was stated that 37 members of the FIFA Council were not involved.
Because of this, there were many protests.But Infantino remained unmoved.One party that has spoken out loud about FIFA’s latest activities is Human Rights Watch.
Human Rights Watch then sent a letter and asked five questions regarding the FIFA Peace Prize.This organization hopes that the letter will be answered before November 20, 2025.
As of December 1 2025, FIFA had not responded to the letter.Because of this, Human Rights Watch questioned Infantino’s decision regarding the first edition of the FIFA Peace Prize.
